Dates are one of the recommended healthy menus for children to eat since there are so many benefits of dates that are very good for health. Dates are rich in natural fiber and in modern medicine, it has shown that dates are effective in preventing stomach cancer.

Dates are a type of fruit that can grow at any time of the year, but unlike the goron tula fruits,  this fruit is often harvested in fall or early winter in its home country because in winter, this fruit is in its freshest condition.

The fruit which is also often referred to as the fruit of the prophet is actually rich in beneficial nutrients and in general, the main content of this fruit is simple carbohydrates (especially sugars, such as sucrose and fructose) nearly 70% of daily carb need contains within a date fruit.

Not only the carbohydrates, dates are also rich in calcium, iron, vitamin K, folate and antioxidants such as carotene, phenolic, avanoids, anthocyanin, and substances that good for brain development, like the ones contained in of salmon.

With the same amount, fresh fruit contains only about 142 calories and 37 grams of carbohydrates while in contrast, fresh dates contain far more water, fiber and protein than the dried version.

Dates also surpass other fruits like dragon fruits in their various constituents with the contents of.oil, calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, copper and magnesium. Combining dates with milk and yogurt or bread, butter, and fish can be a healthy alternative, a true delicacy for healthier life.

They are also rich in several vitamins and minerals and when the level of trace elements falls in the body, the health of the blood vessels is affected which results in an increase in the heart rate and consequently the inability to carry out its functions with normal efficiency. Dates are also important for maintaining eye health and it is quite effective in guarding against blindness.

When the calcium content in the body decreases, children are easily affected by rickets, so that as adults they become fragile and weak. Therefore, calcium and magnesium are good for children’s bone development and fortunately, dates have a high content of magnesium and calcium that further help improve bone development in babies.

Since the fruits are always known to be one of the best middle-eastern delicacies, many people would like to have them in their houses as a healthy snack. They also provide health benefits for the kids, like :

1. Smoothens Digestion

Consuming dates is good for eradicating parasitic organisms that disturb the balance of bacteria in the intestines, so it is very good for the digestive system of children.

Dates can also protect the liver due to infections and viruses that often occur in children and even dates are also good for dealing with constipation or constipation in babies with the high level of fiber contained within.

High fiber intake is important for consumption for the kids, because it is useful to help the body’s metabolic processes, including by normalizing bowel movements, helping to maintain intestinal health, maintaining stool quality and facilitating the process of defecating, preventing hemorrhoids in children, these things help your kids to meet the daily nutritional needs, and allows them to reach a healthy body weight.

This will not only maintain the health of the digestive tract, but also increase the body’s endurance, thus supporting the optimal growth and development of your little one.

Although fiber has good health benefits, children often do not have the appetite to eat foods that contain fiber, either because the shape or taste is less attractive to most children and in fact, many delicious foods are sources of fiber, such as those from fruits to whole grain cereals. Fortunately, dates already have a delicious taste, and even better when combined with milk.

2. Good Source of Sugar and Carbs

Dates contain glucose, fructose, and sucrose which can increase energy in the body so it is suitable to be given to children to adults for breakfast and lunch. Sugar or carbohydrates are the main source of energy in the body and without it, the body will use fat or protein as energy.

And, this is certainly not good, it can disturb the metabolic balance in the body.  That’s why, you as a parent still need to provide sugar for children and always pay attention to the amount.

Sugar that enters the body will be directly used by the body and some are stored by the body as energy reserves, it is stored as glycogen in the liver and muscles. Glycogen will be used if needed by the body, for example, when the blood sugar reserves are low in the body, glycogen will be used as an energy source by the brain.

3. Curing Fever

If your little one has a fever, try giving him dates mixed with milk to help with fever recovery. Dates contain lots of vitamins such as vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 A, C and also minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.

But basically, these dates only help speed up the healing process, not kill the virus and heal completely since most people who experience fever will also feel quite weak and lose their appetite.

4. Nourishes Skin

Dates also have benefits for your little one’s skin with the high iron content in dates makes hemoglobin levels increase, and when the hemoglobin level is balanced in red blood cells, it will have a positive impact on nourishing the skin.
