The era of estimated bill in Nigeria is gradually coming to end as NERC has introduced an improved billing system. Prepayment electricity meters will now be used in homes to ensure all customers are billed accurately.These meters are currently being distribution to PHED customers by MAPs.

Who are the MAPs? MAPs are companies who are partnering with a PHED, with the approval of NERC, to provide and install meters at the premises of Nigerians who don’t have prepayment meters.

What is MAP? The MAP scheme is an initiative from the industry regulation, Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission(NERC), designed to reduced metering gap within a DISCOs network area. All customers without meter will now be provided with meters under this initiative.

  3. Fill MAP application form
  4. Make payment
