The first step is to make sure your phone and SIM is 4G compliant. To know if your phone has 4G LTE, visit scroll up and search for your phone model. Check under the “Technology” tab and look out for “LTE” or 4G feature

Now that you’ve confirmed that your phone is 4G LTE compatible, follow these steps to make the switch.

MTN subscribers

• Swap your current SIM for a USIM
• Text 4G to 131, and
• You’d receive an SMS confirming that your device is 4G/LTE ready

Take these three major steps and you should be 4G LTE ready.
