The main beneficial actions of the combination of garlic, ginger, lemon and honey are the following:
Antibacterial:
The combined action of garlic, ginger and honey will make it possible for your body to fight effectively against various viruses and bacteria we are exposed in our everyday life. And by strengthening your immunity it might even help you overcome or avoid getting flu, cold or other illnesses related to compromised or weak immunity.
Vasodilator:
The ginger has a vasodilator action that will warm the body. Convenient when cold and bedridden.
It will have other effects thanks to its components, but now I just want to inform you about the immunostimulant side of this drink. I invite you to read my articles on garlic and ginger for more details or check out my other similar drinks.

How to Make Lemon Garlic Ginger Honey Drink at Home
Step 1
It’s important to carefully wash the organic lemons in order to avoid pesticides! If you’re lucky enough to have your own lemons from your garden, it’s even better! Then cut them into small pieces by removing the seeds.
Step 2
Add the small lemon slices with the entire skin in the blender. Note: You can peel the lemon if you want, but normally it’s recommended that you use the lemon with its entire skin as it has been found that lemon peel and most other citrus fruits skin have more than twice the amount of nutrients and vitamins compared to the fruit’s pulp.
Step 3
Peel 4 cloves of garlic and put them also in the blender. There’s no need to grate them or cut them into pieces. The blender will take care of them.
Step 4
Peel the fresh ginger and cut it into small pieces then add them in the blender. Add about half a liter of mineral water or spring water and blend until you have a smooth, lumpless and totally homogeneous liquid mixture.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into a large pot or jar and add 1.5 liter of mineral or filtered water. Cook over low heat, for 15-20 minutes or until it thickens a bit, stirring constantly. Once the preparation takes a syrupy texture cut the heat, let it cool completely, filter with a colander and pour in a bottle with a funnel. Then leave the bottles in the fridge. Better use glass bottles.
Note: If you add the honey when you cook this drink, the honey will lose its beneficial qualities. So, make sure to add it after you finish brewing the drink when it has been completely cooled down.
If you like herbal tea you can also try this easy hibiscus tea recipe.
You can also add some pineapple to the drink to get even better taste.
When to Drink it?
Some people think it is better to take it on an empty stomach in the morning. Then the assimilation by the body is probably the best, but we know all the effects of garlic on social life, right… The evening before going to sleep seems to be a more proper choice
To consume it, it is necessary to drink the hot preparation before going to bed and put a hot water bottle at the level of the liver. The hot ginger drink and the hot water bottle will allow the body to perspire(sweat), which will also contribute to the elimination of the bacteria and toxins in your body causing the disease.
