The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born on February 16, 1990, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Weeknd gained international recognition for his unique blend of R&B, pop, and alternative music, characterized by his distinct falsetto vocals and introspective lyrics.

He released a trilogy of mixtapes, titled “House of Balloons,” “Thursday,” and “Echoes of Silence,” in 2011, which garnered critical acclaim and helped establish his career. The Weeknd’s debut studio album, “Kiss Land,” was released in 2013, followed by his breakthrough album, “Beauty Behind the Madness,” in 2015. The latter album featured hit singles such as “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills,” which propelled him to mainstream success.
