The Cost of ACCA in Nigeria

It is easy to see why ACCA ranks among the most sought after international examinations in the Accounting industry today. Apart from the fact that the examination is internationally recognized, the trainings and eventual series of examinations expose experts in the field to a deeper knowledge of accounting and its application.

With a lot of professionals in the accounting field beginning to pay more attention to this international certification, it is essential to take a look at how much each level goes for in Nigeria today. In this post, we will consider basic things aspiring ACCA candidates need to know about the examination and how much each paper goes for.

What is the cost of ACCA in Nigeria?

ACCA is one of the most sought after international exams in the finance and accounting industry today and will likely stay that way for the foreseeable future. With an international that accompanies the exam, it is easy to see why Nigerians tend to lean towards this in favour of other local accounting certifications.

The examination comes in various levels, with each level bearing their own costs. This section focuses on how much is required to register and sit for the examination, breaking down amounts for each of the levels.

Cost of Registration

The cost of registration is the first fee you are required to pay when registering for ACCA. Candidates are expected to pay this fee only once. It should be noted that this fee has to be paid before you are allowed to even complete your registration and sit for the first level of the examination. As it stands, the registration fee is £79 when you apply for the first stage of the exam. You should note that you are not required to pay for the enrolment fee again when registering for subsequent levels.

 Annual Subscription Fees

Apart from the registration charges and fees per paper, candidates are expected to pay an annual charge of £105 for subscription. This charge must be paid each year to keep your student status active. Your studentship status might be suspended if this charge is not paid within the stipulated period.

Re-registration Charge

This is a penalty charge for students who did not pay the annual subscription fee as at when due.  ACCA students who did not pay the annual registration fee when due will have their names deleted from the formal ACCA register and would need to pay a re-registration fee plus all unpaid fees to be re-established as a student.
