Ekiti State University School Fees
Ekiti State University School Fees
If a serene environment and a standard learning culture are basic factors you consider when selecting a State university to attend, then Ekiti State University should be one of the top ten state universities on your list. The University was formerly known as University of Ado-Ekiti before being changed to Ekiti State University in 2011.
With the university’s name already changed up to four times since its inception, it is easy to understand why the institution is said to have a “pride of itself”. The University has since its establishment in 1982 surged to be one of the best state universities in western Nigeria and still remains one of the three most sought after State universities in the region.
One of the most controversial parts of the school is the tuition fees. With the tuition having been reviewed on few occasions already within the past decade, the instability in tuition has caused unease in the balance of the school, although this situation has been resolved. We will take a look at the latest fees students pay in EKSU in 2018.

Ekiti State School Fees (Our Evidence)
At NigerianPrice.com, we strive to the best of our capacity to ensure that all prices and school fees details we provide are up to date. In a bid to convince you that the information in this post the most current available as of the time of this editing, we decided to add our source of the information, which is the official school fees schedule released by the school.
EKSU School Fees: Things You Need to Know
Firstly, bear in mind that the acceptance fee is clearly different from the school fees. In other words, it is not included in the school fees. So, as a fresher, the total fees due on you would be School fees + acceptance fees + portal fees (N4,000 for now).
Secondly, acceptance fees are paid only by fresh students, which include new entrants into 100 level as well as direct entry students. So, in other words, you pay the acceptance fee against your first session as a student. For subsequent sessions, there is no acceptance fee.
Thirdly, note that the accommodation fee is not included in the school fees schedule. So, you would have to pay a separate accommodation fee. This is important to know, so you can draw up a realistic budget when presenting your fee requirements to your parents or guardians.
So, for example, a student who has just gained admission to study medicine and surgery would be paying a total of N486,000 for the current session — excluding accommodation fees.
Note, also, that some levels in certain departments are missing from the school fees schedule. This can be due to a number of reasons. One common reason is that the course is still new, with the first set of students yet to reach 400 level. Another reason is temporary loss of accreditation, which prevents the school from admitting students into certain sessions at some point. It could also be due to irregularities in the school calendar.
