Folic acid plays a role in the process of cell division and contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Folic acid on its own or within Pregnacare may therefore be taken throughout pregnancy. Pregnacare gives the advantage of not only providing folic acid, but other essential nutrients as well.
