• Be Certified: Usually, TV Presenting does not require a particular course of study although people that study/studied Mass Communications and English have upper hand in the field. That being said, any graduate with required degree can go into the field. You are required to have the compulsory SSCE certificate with at least a credit pass in the major course including English, Mathematics and three other core subjects, which could include economics, accounting, and similar subjects. You then strive to be admitted in a University or Polytechnic to study Mass Communications, English, Languages or any other related course by writing the required UTME examination and getting required cut-off mark. Normally, the duration for the course is 3 – 4 years depending on the institution. As stated, it is important to note that the course you study in school does not restrict you from being a television presenter in most cases.
• National Youth Service Corps: NYSC is a one-year service year where you are expected to serve your motherland. Usually, graduates of English, mass Communications and other related courses are posted to media houses, where they are opportune to work with professionals in the field.
