Established in the early months of 1990, the school rose to be among the very best in Africa over a decade ago and was one of the top schools recognized for academic excellence. Their remarkable exploit and overwhelming achievements in the field of medical sciences has drawn ovation from various parts of the world. Their medical school is till date considered one of the very best in Africa and does not look like slowing down any time soon. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology is one of the most sought after universities in Nigeria. The school presently operates from two campuses. The main and biggest campus is located in Ogbomosho, Oyo state. The field of study include agriculture, pure and applied science, engineering and technology, medicine and environmental science. The mini campus is located in Oshogbo, Osun State. This campus is houses the College of Health Sciences which encompasses departments including Medicine and Surgery, Medical Laboratory Science and Nursing. The medicals students presently rotates between the College of Health Sciences in Osogbo and the newly built Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital.
