AEDC customers are to pay N37,000 for a single phase meter and N67,000 for three phase meter. The prepayment meter will be installed at the customers residence in 10 days after payment.

How to apply for AEDC Prepaid Meter Online (Existing Customer)
- Visit www.abujaelectricity.com or map.abujaelectricity.com
- Click on “Getting Metered” then click on “Existing Customer”
- To know your “contract number”, please pick any of your AEDC bill and identify your unique 9 digit contract number. The last two digits should not be included.
- Click on Register, Select “Landlord” Insert your “Email and Contract Number”. Next an email will be sent to you.
- A message will be sent to your email. Use the information, return to AEDC’s portal, insert your login details and change your password.
- Click on the “login tab” and insert your email and password, then “login icon” below.
- Click on “Complaint” to register a prepaid meter request
- Click on ” New Complaint” and Select “Complaint Type”
- Click on “All Complaints Type” to provide complaint type
- Select “Metering” as the complaint type
- Provide ” Complaint Subtype”
- Choose “Request for Meter” as Complaint subtype.
- Provide a “Complaint Description” I.e request for MAP meter and input your phone number and click “send”.
- A “success” message pops up indicating a successful complaint registration. Next click on “OK” to return to the complaint window.
- Complaint window. Request completed then AEDC will contact you subsequently for Site Verification to determine your prepaid meter need(single/three phase) and payment procedure. Please keep your reference number” safe as this will be used during the payment.
If you successfully follow these step, you will get your prepaid meter in 10 working days.
